Ugh

June 13, 2011 by Kristy 12 Comments

After the knee fiasco on Saturday things got better and then got worse.  I had a great time at the wedding (more on that later) but tossed and turned all Saturday night because my body just ached.  Not long run aches, flu aches.  I was so uncomfortable I barely slept.  I woke up feeling awful, kinda like the flu – achy, feverish, chills.  I took some Advil and we made our way back home.  We got home, I slept for a few hours, parked myself on the couch, and watched TV.  I also begged Matt to get me a DQ Blizzard (hey, there was nothing wrong with my stomach).  Since I know I can’t have the flu, I’m chalking it up to the damn tetanus/diphtheria/pertussis vaccine.  Not only does my arm hurt, it made me feel crappy…for two days!  I’m home from work today because I still don’t feel good.  This needs to end now.  I hate being sick.

Onto more fun stuff!  The wedding was a good time and Camille never looked happier.  Some pictures…

Faith feels your pain. After her shots, she’s always super cranky and doesn’t sleep well 🙂

I hope you’re feeling better soon!

I have a newfound respect for babies who get multiple shots at once. This is rough!

What kind of blizzard did you get? I’ve been craving one… I might just have to get one before the baby gets here.

So sorry you were feeling sick. At least it didn’t hit you until post-wedding. I would hate to be feeling under the weather during a wedding.

I love your little black dress! Very cute!

You cannot go wrong with the Oreo Cookie Dough Blizzard! It’s amazing. That was my dinner last night!

Ugg is right. I hate being sick. I also hate shots. I haven’t had the flu in years and the last time I did have it, I swear that I got it from the flu vaccine shot. Last time that I’ll ever get one of those evil things.

I’ve already had at least 5 blizzards this season. Even though I swore I wasn’t gonna have any. And they’ve all been medium sized ones, which is way more icecream than I should be eating in one sitting!

I like how the Bride replaced her bouquet in the first picture with a Bud Light in the second picture. I could see myself being friends with that smart woman!

I got sick from the flu shot too! I’m starting to feel better, although it has already messed up my running schedule this week!

Glad to hear someone else gets a size medium blizzard. I ONLY get a medium sized one. Go big or go home.

Camille (bride) and I are die hard (lite) beer drinkers!

Dude. Vaccines suck but they are a necessary evil. As a nurse, I don’t get a choice to get the flu shot or not and, even though they say you can’t get sick from the flu shot, I SWEAR I always do. Coincidence? Bad timing? Maybe.

I’m glad your stomach was okay and you could enjoy a blizzard! Those things rock!

I know. I’m very pro-vaccines but this one was a killer. I swear I got sick from the flu shot too years ago.
