From the looks of my Philly HM photos, you would think that I (1) was overjoyed at my time and (2) had the race of my life. Both are false. Maybe I was just so happy it was over? I don’t know…but I have a big goofy grin on my face.
I swear I raised my arms in triumphant joy as I crossed the finish line and they didn’t capture any of that. Instead my eyes are locked on my Garmin.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Did you go shopping today? I avoid the mall today, I hate the crowds! Matt and I were pretty productive and put up our Christmas decorations and tree.
I don’t know how anybody looks good in race photos. I always look like I am dying. I love black friday shopping, but this year, we have no good gift ideas! I’m so jealous….I’m dying to put up our tree, and we’ll probably get home too late on Sunday. Enjoy!
I still can’t get into the Garmin! I don’t like fighting the crazy people and crowds…not worth it to me!
It’s funny how we pay so much money to run these chip timed races but we’re still all about the Garmin time. Haha, my MCM pics are me turning off my Garmin too!
Nooooooo shopping for us. I hate the crowds, too. I tend to do most of my shopping online anyway.
My Garmin is collecting dust these days. But soon enough I’ll have it back out. Keep inspiring me with your awesome training plans and races! 🙂
Ha, my photos were pretty awful. Made me very happy to have had a personal photographer out on the course!
Lucky you…the pictures in your recap post are awesome!
oooh Christmas decorations! Love. I’m waiting for it to not be 60 degrees before I put mine up. I went shopping this weekend but it wasn’t so bad! I guess it’s good that stores in NYC are spread out and don’t involve a mall.
My race photos are always terrible. I never seem to remember to smile or even look up. We got out in the Black Friday madness for a little while but didn’t find much but we weren’t really looking for anything either so it was fine.
