Actually, these aren’t too bad. Apparently hating life translates well on camera for me.
At the start with Ann, Trish, and Sara.
This photo made me laugh. Cookie Monster getting his stretch on and an oblivious runner. Philly skyline in the background – so pretty!
Can you spot me (hint: I’m checking my Garmin for the 10th time)? I lined up towards the front and then 99% of the runners passed me within seconds.
Barely managing a smile somewhere around Mile 3.
This photo is pretty horrendous. But at least I’m not looking at my Garmin.
I’m sure the Philly HM photos will be just as fabulous!

I love the Cookie Monster photo! My kid would lose her shit if she saw a Cookie Monster that size in real life 🙂
Also, you look good in your photos!

whoa cookie monster is freaky! i’m still waiting for my good set of race photos…not sure if that will ever happen 🙂

I’ve had what I’d call barely-tolerable race photos but none that I would ever put on my Christmas card or buy a print of. Most of them have been so bad they will never even see the light of day on my blog. That Cookie monster one is great–did he run the whole way???
Kristy says
Cookie Monster was more of a cheerleader 🙂 I can’t imagine running in that costume.

gotta love race photos! 🙂 i think you look great at mile 3!

The ones brightroom got of me in the NYC Marathon are horrific.

Your pics are not even a little bad. How do you pull that off??? Jealous.

You look so calm in your pictures. I usually look like I’m in pain. Though, I won’t lie, if I see a camera, I try to look less ugly and smile. LOL
I’m bummed I won’t be meeting you in person!!!! So bummed. But I know we’ll run into each other soon!
BTW, my sister is running the full but is looking to drop back to half because of a nagging shin injury. She’s not even really sure what it is. Can she drop to the half the day she picks up bib? How does that work?
Kristy says
Right now, they won’t be able to officially drop your sister (I dropped from the full to the half and the cut-off date was in September). But she can certainly just follow the HMers at mile 13 (the marathoners go 1 way, the HMs go to the finish line). I did this a few years ago and didn’t have any issues with my chip, etc. She should be OK.
RAS says
Thanks, girl! I look forward to meeting you, very, very SOON! I’ll be keeping track of you during the half. Lots of well wishes.

Race photos are hilarious. Sometimes I look like I’m in the worst agony of my life and other times, it looks like I’m taking a leisurely stroll. And I TRY to pose for the cameras when I spot them.

Great to meet you today, Christy! I’ll keep an eye out at the start tomorrow 🙂
