Favorite Things

Shoes:  I’ve been an avid Brooks Adrenaline GTS wearer for over 10 years now although I wasn’t happy with the Adrenaline 12s update.  Overall it’s a great, supportive shoe but I wish Brooks would stop tweaking it each year.  UPDATE:  I’m now alternating between the Brooks Ravenna and Brooks PureCadence.
Shorts:  Oiselle’s Distance Short is my absolute favorite.  Not too tight, not too loose, and just the right length.  They are breathable and lightweight for the summer and dry amazingly fast.
Tights:  Oiselle’s Lesley Knicker and Reebok’s Performance Slim Fit Capri.
Tanks:  Oiselle’s Winona Tank.  It’s unbelievably soft and durable.
Jacket:  In the winter I love Oiselle’s Burke Jacket because it’s lightweight, waterproof, and windproof.
Sports Bra:  North Face Stow-n-Go Bra – best bra ever to store fuel, keys, etc.

Garmin Forerunner 305:  I got this for Christmas in 2009 and it has really changed how I train.  It keeps me from going out too fast on easy runs (and races) and also tells me when I need to kick it up a notch.
Clif Shot Bloks:  I’ve been using Shot Bloks for the past few years since my stomach decided it could not handle GU anymore.  I generally go with the Black Cherry flavor although Strawberry and Mountain Berry are good too.
NUUN:  I’m a serious sweater and use NUUN (along with salt) to replenish electrolytes.
Amphipod Handheld Water Bottle:  I’ve been using this water bottle for years now.  It’s the perfect size and doesn’t bounce.

CEP Compression Calf Sleeves and Aspaeris Pivot Shorts – I practically live in both of these when training.
